Blessed to be abreast!

Despite wearing my green skirt and green flowered headband, I still got the annual “pink pinch” (actually, more of a SQUEEZE!).
Because my maternal grandma had breast cancer and because my risks are slightly higher due to never having had biological children and because I now take hormone replacement, I’m “pinched” yearly. After all, early detection is critical!
October is officially “Breast Cancer Awareness” month, but every day is a good time to self-check, and every month it’s good to be cautious.

So, on this St. Patrick’s Day, I welcomed the mammogram “pinch” and now, having been given two thumbs up from the radiologist, I’m proclaiming, “Blessed to be abreast!”

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
