It is our hope that you’ll feel as at home here — as at peace — as we felt when we first came upon this property over 17 years ago. We looked at the beauty that surrounded us on all sides and breathed deeply. That moment of pause – that “Selah” – is how our farm got its name.
In Hebrew, the word selah literally means to “pause”… and “think of that.” It was our hope then, and it continues to be, that each person who visits us on Selah Farm, whether here or in person, will sense God’s peace and hear His sweet voice – which often only comes when we take time to…
Pause.
Think.
Breathe deeply.
We are a hurried society. After all, there is much to be done! Yet, can any of us truly find meaning in the hustle-bustle of life if we haven’t first taken the time to purposefully…
Stop?
Look?
Listen?
In doing these three elementary things – just like a child preparing to cross the street – purpose and joy and even safety are added to one’s day, and the mundane becomes the miraculous — the ordinary, extraordinary.
