Because He First Loved…

Tomorrow’s not only Easter — a time when many of us celebrate new life in Christ through His death and resurrection — but it’s also the one year anniversary of the day a little girl came to stay… when our new life TOGETHER, with Allie, began. Her new life with us was also made possible because one man, her Papa Jimmy (her maternal grandfather AND her first adoptive father), passed away. He loved her first, and because of his love, we too have the privilege of loving this little one. My heart is overwhelmed with the parallels — how so much of this speaks of God’s love for us that, while we were yet sinners, He sent His Son Jesus to die in our place… and how, through Him, we, too, are adopted into God’s family. Our little Allie is a living, breathing representation of Romans 8:28 — “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” For God’s glory and the good of His people… Amen! ♥
